House of the Army, Bitola
Build something new inside one of Bitola's most important historic buildings. House of the Army stands on Shirok Sokak, at the center of the city and more than a century of local memory.
A century of city memory
A building shaped by Bitola's history
Construction began in the early twentieth century and continued through a period marked by the Balkan Wars and the First World War. The building was completed in 1919 and became one of the defining landmarks on Shirok Sokak.
Across different eras, its halls served officers, public gatherings, formal events, and generations of people connected to Bitola. After a long period of decline, the building was restored and returned to public life.
Today, House of the Army is an active cultural venue for exhibitions, concerts, lectures, festivals, educational programs, and community events.
